An IISc study has questioned the economic and environmental benefits of Bengaluru's double-decker road integrated with Namma Metro Phase 3. The report says the project would deliver lower economic returns, reduce Metro ridership and lead to greater use of private vehicles. Researchers also warned of higher fuel consumption, traffic and pollution, adding fresh debate over city's transport planning.
