A study on effects of short-video addiction found that it slows down processing of information, reduces sensitivity to real-life consequences, and lowers loss-aversion. Increased short-form video consumption was associated with poorer cognition, with attention & inhibitory control yielding strongest associations. A strong correlation was found between content consumption & declining mental health.
