Study reveals link between meal memory and overeating

A USC study published in Nature Communications found that specific brain cells form "meal memories" that help regulate hunger. Disrupting these neurons caused rats to forget meals and overeat. The research suggests that strengthening meal memory could be a new strategy for managing appetite, obesity, and disordered eating.
