A new study from Ankara University showed that cats vocalise nearly twice as much when greeting male owners compared to female ones. Researchers said this happens because men may be less responsive, prompting cats to meow more to get attention. The findings also revealed that cats adjust their behaviour affectionately, even though humans often misread their signals.
