Following the murder of Suhas Shetty in Mangaluru on May 1, police imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of BNSS from May 2–6. Home Minister Parameshwara assured that the accused, regardless of affiliation, will not be spared. Security was intensified with 22 KSRP platoons and over 1,000 officers deployed.
