At Kerala's Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, a rare solar alignment occurs twice a year during the equinox. Sunlight enters through five windows of the Gopuram, illuminating each for about five minutes in sequence. This year, the phenomenon took place on Friday (March 20). It will next take place during the September equinox.
