Sun Pharmaceutical Industries on Friday announced that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved SEZABY, a phenobarbital sodium powder for injection, for the treatment of neonatal seizures. The company added that the drug was granted orphan drug designation by FDA. The drug is expected to be available in the US in the fourth quarter of FY23, it added.
