Google CEO Sundar Pichai on the All-In Podcast with David Friedberg revealed that Google had nearly bought Netflix. "There are acquisitions we debated hard...came close [to buying]," said Pichai. When asked to name one of those companies, Pichai said, "Maybe Netflix...At one point, we debated Netflix super intensely." Interestingly, UK-based CCS Insight had predicted a Google-Netflix deal in 2015.
