short by Ankush Verma / on Wednesday, 24 January, 2024
A super rare centipede has been spotted in UK's Nottinghamshire for the first time, University of Leicester said. "Scutigera coleoptrata is a carnivorous, venomous, insectivore, and the fastest-moving centipede in the world. It is a native of southern Europe," the university added. It uses its long front legs to lasso its prey and its fangs to inject venom.
