The Supreme Court has summarised the position of law with regard to the plea of demurrer. It said that the plea of demurrer is an act of objecting or taking exception or a protest. The Court was hearing SLPs arising from common judgment of the Bombay High Court which dismissed an appeal under Arbitration Act.
