The Supreme Court has upheld the decision of the Administrative Tribunal refusing to grant permission to the consent terms finalised by an agricultural association of villagers of Goa. It observed that Article 30 (4) (g) of the Code of Comunidades doesn’t confer an unfettered power on the Communidade to enter into a compromise, without the Tribunal’s sanction.
