The planned Chennai-Surat Expressway, originally set to span 1,271 km, has been trimmed to around 900 km, now ending at Nashik instead of extending all the way to Surat. The revision aims to streamline construction, reduce project costs, and speed up development. The expressway will still significantly boost connectivity across South and West India, improving travel and logistics efficiency.
