A US doctor has become world's first surgeon to perform cataract surgery using the Apple Vision Pro, powered by mixed reality surgical platform ScopeXR. It streamed live feeds from 3D digital surgical microscopes directly into Vision Pro. The surgeon viewed the operative field in immersive stereoscopic 3D while simultaneously accessing real-time surgical overlays and preoperative diagnostic data.
