Sushma Swaraj became the first woman Chief Minister of Delhi when she assumed the office in 1998. The BJP leader, however, served as the Chief Minister for only 52 days and was succeeded by Congress' Sheila Dikshit. Swaraj, who was born on February 14, 1952, currently serves as the External Affairs Minister.
