Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday wrote to PM Narendra Modi suggesting austerity measures to divert funds towards fight against coronavirus. In the letter she offered five "concrete suggestions" which include complete ban on media ads by government and suspension of the ₹20,000 crore Central Vista beautification plan. Sonia also suggested cancellation of all foreign visits of ministers.
