Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi reacted to the suspension of former Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda over the Chinnaswamy stadium stampede and said that such actions are "unfair". She added, "Any suspension which is not rational, justified, explained is demoralising for the force. It was too rushed." Meanwhile, BJP and JDS have also criticised the Karnataka government over the action.
