Swamy wins case against IIT Delhi after 47 yrs, gets ₹40 lakh dues

BJP's Subramanian Swamy has won a 47-year-old battle with IIT Delhi, as a local court ordered the institute to pay his salary from 1972-1991 at an annual 8% interest compounded. He will receive around ₹40-45 lakh. In 1972, Swamy was sacked by the institute following confrontations with the administration but was reinstated by a Delhi court in 1991.
