Sweden sees coldest weather in 25 years as temperature dips to -43.6°C

Sweden on Wednesday recorded its coldest January night in 25 years as the temperature dipped to -43.6°C in the far north as a cold snap hit the Nordics. Several weather stations recorded temperatures below -40°C in Sweden's north on Wednesday. In January 1999, a temperature of -49°C was recorded in Sweden, which tied the record set in 1951.
