Sweden to give tax breaks for repairs to stop wastage

Sweden is introducing tax breaks for repairing household items so that people do not throw out old and broken items. The measures include slashing the VAT rate on repairs of specific items from 25% to 12% and claiming of tax returns worth half the labour cost on repairs. This is part of the government's initiative to cut down carbon emissions.
