Swedish swimmer sets world record in 100m butterfly

Sweden’s Sarah Sjostrom broke her own world record by clocking 55.48 seconds in the women’s 100-metre butterfly swimming event, to win the gold medal at the Rio Olympics. Her previous record of 55.64 seconds was set in Russia a year ago. Sjostrom, who is competing in her third Olympics, became the first Swedish woman to win an Olympic swimming Gold.
