Switzerland researchers create drones that can run on sound waves

Researchers from Switzerland's Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne have designed tiny drones and boats that operate on sound waves. They created hollow bell-shaped structures called 'cavities' which can propel the devices when sound waves move the air inside them. Researchers added that changing the frequency of sound waves using speakers can help steer them around obstacles.
