Swollen Beas hits 35 Punjab villages after monsoon mayhem in HP

Heavy rainfall in catchment areas of J&K and Himachal Pradesh, along with the release of surplus water from the Pong and Bhakra dams, has caused the Sutlej, Beas, and Ravi rivers and seasonal rivulets to swell. Floodwaters from the Beas River have submerged agricultural fields in over 35 villages across Punjab after heavy rainfall and water discharge from Pong Dam.
