Sydney's AQI becomes 11 times more hazardous due to bushfires

Smoke from Australia's bushfires has caused haze in Sydney where the regional environmental department said the Air Quality Index (AQI) in some parts of the city was 11 times the threshold considered hazardous. There were reportedly 85 fires burning across New South Wales on Tuesday. "It is some of the worst air quality we've seen," an official said.
