Familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) is a genetic disorder causing high "bad" cholesterol (LDL) levels, significantly raising early heart disease risk. Symptoms of FH can include cholesterol deposits in the skin, tendons, and around the eyes. However, FH often presents no visible symptoms, making screening crucial for those with a family history of high cholesterol or early heart disease.
