Syria begins destroying Assad-era hidden chemical weapons

Syria has begun destroying the remaining materials from former President Bashar al-Assad regime's hidden chemical weapons program, marking the first such destruction since 2014. The remnants include raw materials and munitions similar to those used in deadly gas attacks during the Syrian civil war.
