Syrian air defence system intercepted an Israeli missile barrage near its capital, Damascus, said state news agency, SANA on Monday citing a military source. A war-monitoring group said that the strikes targeted the arms depot of Iran-backed Lebanon's militant Hezbollah group. The war-monitoring group added that the missiles caused material damage but no casualties or injuries were reported.
