The Syrian government and allied forces have taken control of the town of al-Sukhna, the last major town in Homs province from the Islamic State, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said. The Russia-backed Syrian government and the US-led coalition have been making advances in Syria and taking control of key towns that were previously held by ISIS.
