The Telangana Assembly has proposed a bill to cut up to 15% or ₹10,000, whichever is less, of gross salary of employees in the state who neglect their parents, and pay the amount to parents. The bill, apart from being applicable on state employees and people in private sectors, will also apply on MLAs, MLCs, Corporators, Councilors, Sarpanches and others.
