Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan voiced strong criticisms against the ruling All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in West Bengal, characterising its governance as marked by misrule and corruption. He stated, "The people of Bengal are suffering from misrule of TMC...TMC means torture and tragedy. M represents money, murder, mafia, while C stands for corruption, crime, and cruelty."
