Founder of Prime Capital Real Estate Tahir Majithia said most real estate scams in Dubai happen within rental sector and with cash transactions. Newcomers often pay their rent in cash to agents which sometimes fails to reach the landlord. He added that all rent should be paid into the landlord’s bank account, to keep a clear record.
