Taiwan govt charges Tokyo Electron unit in TSMC trade secrets case

Taiwanese prosecutors have charged Tokyo Electron's Taiwan unit for violating the National Security Act and the Trade Secrets Act after Lo Wei-jen, former senior VP of TSMC, was indicted for stealing trade secrets from the chipmaker. The unit could face fines of up to $3.82 million if convicted. The investigators earlier raided two homes of Lo and seized computers.
