The Tamil Nadu government issued an order on Monday to transfer the custodial death case of Jayaraj and Bennicks to the CBI. Earlier, the Madras High Court had said that it does not have an objection and will not interfere with the decision of the state government. The father-son duo, Jayaraj and Bennicks, died after allegedly being tortured in custody.
