Tamil Nadu ends night curfew, Sunday lockdown; schools to reopen from Feb 1
The Tamil Nadu government on Thursday lifted the night curfew from January 28 and there will be no Sunday lockdown from this weekend. It also announced the reopening of schools for classes 1 to 12 from February 1 while adhering to COVID-19 guidelines. The state reported 29,976 new COVID-19 cases and 47 deaths on Wednesday.
