Tamil Nadu orders probe into hospital medicine bills

Tamil Nadu has ordered inspections of hospitals and pharmacies following complaints of patients being charged MRP for medicines bought at discounted prices. Officials will examine purchase records, bills and pricing violations. Separate inspections will target the unauthorised sale of prescription drugs, including tapentadol and nitrazepam, amid concerns over misuse.
