Tamil Nadu's Home Department issued orders to suspend Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) HM Jayaram on 17 June, for allegedly being complicit in the abduction of a minor boy in a love affair case. The suspension comes after he was arrested on orders of the Madras High Court. The boy was kidnapped on May 10 in Tiruvallur district.
