Tashnuva Anan Shishir has become Bangladesh's first transgender news anchor. Shishir, whose broadcast coincided with International Women's Day, delivered three-minute news bulletin on the private Boishakhi TV. The 29-year-old, who was sexually assaulted and bullied for years, said, "I attempted suicide four times. My father stopped talking to me for years."
