Tata Group is considering Malappuram, Kerala, for a subsidiary plant as part of its ambitious ₹91,000 crore semiconductor project. In collaboration with Taiwan-based Powerchip Semiconductor, this move could boost Kerala's industrial growth and create 1,00,000 jobs. Discussions are underway with the state government, though formal notifications are still pending at the local level.
