Tata Motors may phase out small diesel cars as demand is expected to slow down due to the BS-VI emission norms from April next year that would make the vehicles expensive. The company said that 80% of demand in the small car segment is for petrol cars. Earlier, market leader Maruti Suzuki had said it would discontinue its diesel models.
