Tata Sons on Friday announced formation of a public charitable trust in Mumbai, called 'The Al-171 Memorial and Welfare Trust', dedicated to victims of the Ahmedabad plane crash. Tata Sons and Tata Trusts have jointly committed ₹500 crore to the Trust, the company said. An ex-gratia of ₹1 crore was earlier announced for families of those killed in crash.
