Tata Steel has filed a commercial court claim in the UK against rival Liberty Steel, which is owned by Sanjeev Gupta's GFG Alliance, over unpaid debts. The claim is related to alleged missed payments from Liberty's £100-million ($139 million) takeover of Tata's speciality steels business in 2017. The acquisition reportedly made Sanjeev Gupta one of the UK's biggest steel magnates.
