Tata Group on Wednesday announced its plan to invest £4 billion in an electric car battery factory in the UK. The gigafactory will be Tata's first outside of India. The British government stated that the factory will be offering almost half of the battery production required by 2030, which will be "turbocharging UK's switch to zero emissions vehicles".
