The New York Times (NYT) is facing backlash for publishing an op-ed that speculated on singer-songwriter Taylor Swift's sexuality. The op-ed by writer Anna Marks suggested the singer was sending coded queer messages in her music and that she was secretly a member of the community. Several fans of the singer called the op-ed "invasive", "untrue" and "inappropriate".
