Rajasthan MLA Mohan Lal Gupta has demanded that a book arguing that Maharana Pratap defeated Akbar in the battle of Haldighati should be recommended to university students. The book titled 'Maharana Pratap: Kumbhalgarh Se Chavand' deviates from the dominant narrative that Akbar won the battle. Gupta also wanted Swami Vivekananda's writing on cultural nationalism to be included in the curriculum.
