A nine-year-old Dalit boy was beaten up by his teacher for drinking water from a pond in Uttar Pradesh's Jalaun district. On receiving the information, the boy's mother rushed to the school and questioned the teacher, following which she was allegedly threatened by the accused. The child's parents have lodged a complaint with the police.
