Teen raises ₹1.58L for sister’s surgery, hospital flags fake docs

A teenager raised around ₹1.58 lakh online, claiming the money was needed for his 12-year-old sister’s urgent eye surgery. He said she had glaucoma and vitreous haemorrhage and needed treatment at Delhi’s Shroff Eye Centre. The fundraiser gained traction before the hospital warned that fake patient records, prescriptions and estimates were being circulated using its letterhead.
