Teen recovers from multi-organ failure after rare enteric fever

A 17-year-old student recovered after enteric fever triggered secondary HLH, leading to multi-organ failure, DIC and ARDS. Treated at Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Teynampet, he required ventilation, antibiotics, steroids and blood support. Multidisciplinary care controlled the infection and inflammation, restored organ function and helped him return home.
