Telangana has 1 teacher for 17 students

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said the state has achieved a 1:17 teacher-student ratio, compared with the commonly cited RTE benchmark of 1:30. He also highlighted the recruitment of 10,006 teachers within 55 days and said government institutions currently serve nearly 28.77 lakh students. The government is positioning teacher recruitment as a key part of its education reforms.
