Telangana HC disqualifies MLA Danam Nagender, declares his Assembly seat vacant

Telangana High Court on Friday disqualified Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender under the anti-defection law and declared his Assembly seat vacant. The court set aside the Telangana Assembly Speaker's decision rejecting petitions seeking Nagender's disqualification. Nagender was elected on a BRS ticket in 2023 and later joined Congress and contested the 2024 Lok Sabha election as a Congress candidate.
