Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is set to introduce 'Geetha Karmikula Bhima', an insurance scheme for toddy tappers, similar to the existing Rythu Bhima for farmers. According to the press release, the scheme would provide ₹5 lakh to family members if a toddy tapper dies accidentally while collecting toddy from palm trees in the fields.
