Telangana's Pochampally village, popular for Ikat sarees, has been selected as one of the best tourism villages by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). The award will be given on the occasion of the 24th session of the UNWTO General Assembly on December 2. Pochampally Ikat received Geographical Indication (GI) status in 2004.
